Instagram’s New Sensitive Content Control

Sensitive content control

Something has become increasingly clear over the years. People have very different views about the experience that Instagram provides on this platform, and if it’s the right one for them. Instagram believes that users should shape this platform into the experience that they expect. Instagram has launched a new feature “Sensitive Content Control” to improve your experience on this platform.

Sensitive Content Control

Instagram has started to move in this direction with several tools. For example, they launched a feature to turn off comments or Restrict someone from interacting with you on Instagram or turn off activity status. In July, Instagram took another step and launched what they call “Sensitive Content Control,” which allows you to decide how much sensitive content shows up on Explore Page.

Instagram always has rules about the type of content that can be seen on Instagram. They call it Community Guidelines, and the point of these guidelines is to keep people safe on the platform. They don’t allow hate speech, bullying, and other content that might give harm people. Instagram also has rules about what kind of content they show you in places like Explore. It is Recommendation Guidelines. These guidelines were designed to make sure that Instagram the sensitive content isn’t shown from accounts you don’t follow. You can think of sensitive content as posts that don’t necessarily break Instagram’s rules but could potentially be upsetting to some people – such as posts that may be sexually suggestive or violent.

This new feature allows you to control sensitive content. You can choose to leave things as they are, assuming you’re satisfied with your experience. Or you can adjust the Sensitive Content Control to see more or less sensitive content. Everybody has different preferences for what Instagram shows on Explore. So, this control will give people more options on what they see.
