Does Posting Time on Instagram Matter?
So, can the time you post on Instagram make a difference?
Yes, it can, but there are other things to remember.
When you post when most of your followers are online (we’ll talk about that later), it increases the chances they’ll see and interact with your posts. Why? Because they’re likely scrolling through their feeds and more likely to comment, save, like, or share your content.
Also, Instagram pays attention to how much people engage with your posts. The more they do, the better chance your post has of reaching more people.
However, it’s important to post consistently and create content that your audience enjoys. If your posts don’t interest them, the timing alone won’t help much.
When is the Best Time to Post on Instagram in 2024?
In 2024, the best time to post on Instagram is around 4 a.m. local time. To figure this out, we checked more than 9 million Instagram posts from January 1, 2023, to October 1, 2023, from all around the world.
Here’s how they did it: “We looked at how people interacted with posts from different types of accounts and sizes. We grouped the data by the time and day when the posts were made and figured out the average engagement rates for posts at those times.”
What they found is that, from Monday to Sunday, people tend to like, comment, and share posts made early in the day more than at other times. So, it’s kind of like the early bird getting the worm.
By posting early, your posts don’t have as much competition, and they can still grab people’s attention, even if they scroll through their feeds a bit later.
