Spotify Bedroom: How to Create Your Spotify Room?

SPOTIFY BEDROOM

If you were a ’90s or 2000s kid with a love for music, you probably had your room covered with posters of Britney Spears, Led Zeppelin, or whoever your favorite band was at the time. Maybe album covers from Guns N’ Roses or other popular bands filled the empty spaces on your walls. Those days might be behind us, but there’s a new viral trend that brings a fun, modern twist—seeing how Spotify imagines your bedroom.

And no, it’s not weird! This AI tool looks at your music habits on Spotify or Apple Music and creates a personalized bedroom just for you. It’s like Spotify Wrapped meets a virtual room makeover. It might sound odd, but Gen Z is all over it. Curious yet?

How to Create Your Spotify Bedroom?

The trend started on Verse, a creative AI-powered platform designed for young people. They introduced a fun new tool called “Make Your Internet Bedroom,” where you can create a virtual room based on your Spotify or Apple Music habits. All you need to do is grant access to your music account, and you’re ready to go!

The tool analyzes your music data—like your favorite artists, songs, and playlists—and then generates an image of a room that reflects your unique music taste. Sounds fun, right? If you’re ready to give it a try, here’s a quick guide to walk you through the process:

  1. Head to madeonverse.Spotify Bedroom with madeonverse
  2. Click Connect Spotify or Connect Apple Music.
  3. Log in to your account and grant Verse permission to analyze your music preferences.
  4. Sit back and let Verse design a custom bedroom that matches your music vibe.

But that’s not all! You can personalize your room even further. If you’re a cat lover, for example, click on the pet option and add a cute kitten to your space.

Once you’ve finished customizing, click Save & Share to download a photo of your room. Then, share it with your friends so they can see how Spotify envisions your ideal bedroom!

How does a Spotify Bedroom look?

So, I ended up with the “Pop Princess” theme, and as a guy, the pink decor was definitely a bit much for me. That said, I couldn’t help but appreciate the bow on Pritam Da’s poster and the retro radio – nice touches! I guess that’s what happens when you listen to too many Bollywood love songs and have Sabrina Carpenter on repeat.

You can click on any album cover to hear a song snippet, but the real fun starts with customizing your room. As I mentioned, the pink glittery wallpaper wasn’t my style, so I decided to shake things up by swapping out my fluffy dog for a giant cockroach.

From there, things got pretty wild. I replaced the cute doll with a Gojo figure, swapped the matcha frappuccino for a bottle of stool softener, and exchanged the flower vase for a giant green gummy bear (which probably explains the need for the stool softener!). To top it off, I ditched the fluffy pink chair and upgraded to a gaming chair, like a true boss. Here’s the final result.

Okay, I admit I went a little overboard, but there are even more customization options available if you download their app.

What’s the Purpose After All?

From what I’ve seen so far, it’s a pretty harmless trend. It’s kind of like how we share our Spotify Wrapped with others, but in a fresh and creative way. Some people might even take design inspiration for their actual rooms, while others are just having fun comparing their virtual rooms to their real-life spaces.

There’s no real rhyme or reason to it—it’s just a fun way to see your music habits with a new twist. It’s similar to other apps like Spotify Iceberg, DNA chart, or Receiptify that give you a unique take on your listening history. In the end, it’s just about enjoying what you listen to and discovering other people’s music tastes.

To Sum up

The curiosity to see how Spotify imagines your room is kind of like taking one of those internet quizzes to find out which Game of Thrones character you are. I already know that sharing my room with friends is going to fuel a lot of princess jokes, but I’m starting to get why this trend is so fun. I suggest you try it out for yourself and see what Spotify thinks your bedroom should look like!
