Is there Another way to Find my Watch History In TikTok?

If your TikTok doesn’t have a Watch History button like some other apps, don’t worry. There’s another way to check your history. You can request your data file from TikTok, and in that file, you’ll find information about your account—bio, comments, followers, logins, likes, settings, etc. Plus, it includes a list of videos you’ve watched, called the Video Browsing History list.

To request your TikTok data file and check your watch history, follow these steps:

1. Open the TikTok app and navigate to your profile.

2. Tap the three lines in the top-right corner and then select Privacy.

3. Choose Personalization and Data.

4. Select Download your data.

5. At the bottom, press the Request Data button.

6. After making the data request, you’ll receive a confirmation. To check the status of your request, tap on the Download Data tab. Currently, it will display Pending, indicating that TikTok is processing your request. Typically, this process takes around 24 hours.

7. Once the file is ready, click on Download. This action will redirect you to your browser.

8. Log in to your TikTok account, and you may be prompted to verify it.

9. In the new confirmation window that pops up, select Download.

With iOS

10. The file will download in a zipped format through your default file manager. If you’re using an iPhone without a Zip app, you can transfer it to your computer for opening.

11. Upon opening the zip file, you’ll find several .txt files. Open the one labeled Video Browsing History.

12. Inside the file, you’ll see a list with the date, time, and a link to every video. You can use copy/paste to watch any video in your browser.

Remember: Your TikTok data file remains accessible for a maximum of four days. After this period, the file disappears, and if needed, you’ll have to submit another request.

With Android

10. Once the file is downloaded, locate it in My Files” or Files. If you can’t open it on your phone, you can send it to yourself via email or Wi-Fi LAN and access it using your computer.

10. Inside the zip file, you’ll find various text files. Choose Video Browsing History. Upon opening, you’ll find a comprehensive list of the videos you’ve watched, complete with the date, time, and links to each one. Copy these links and paste them into your browser.

Conclusion

Whether you’re looking to reminisce about the past or stay updated on your viewing habits, your TikTok watch history holds significant value.

Now that you’re familiar with how to access and utilize it, you can maximize this feature to enhance your overall TikTok experience.
