Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, declared today that Instagram will now support its NFT feature in 100 nations.
Instagram users may now post their digital collectibles on the website thanks to a feature. They made this feature in May and test for a group of US producers and collectors.
With today’s update, more nations in Africa, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and the Americas can now use NFT.

By linking their digital wallets to the app, Instagram users can share NFTs on the Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow blockchains. NFTs have a shimmer look and are digital treasures.
This is a part of their ongoing efforts to help creators. Meta claims their work in this area is a part of that effort. They note that NFTs give creators. “Take more control over their work, their relationship with their fans, and how they can monetize.”
Zuckerberg shared his own soon-to-be NFT, a 1992 Little League baseball card of himself, to announce the NFT expansion.
- Connecting a digital wallet: Creators and collectors will be able to select which NFTs from their wallet to publish on Instagram once they are connected.
- Sharing digital collectibles: Once a creator or collector posts a digital collectible, it will have a shimmer effect and can display public information, such as a description of the NFT. Posts will also be visible on their profile.
- Automatic tagging of both the creator and collector: The creator and collector can automatically appear in the digital collectible post (subject to their privacy settings).
