Grid Pinning: New Instagram Feature Rollout

Grid Pinning

Instagram Grid Pinning will be available soon, allowing users to pin specific posts to the top of their profile.

In a video this week with Adam Mosseri, Head of Instagram, the update will be rolled out to all users.

“Your profile is your space,” Mosseri explained, “so we’re looking for more ways to give you control over that experience.”

What Is the Grid Pinning Feature on Instagram?

Pinning content is not a new concept. It’s a popular feature on other apps such as Twitter and TikTok.

The ability to pin posts on your Instagram profile grid, on the other hand, will change how we use the platform

Grid pinning allows users to highlight specific feed posts, such as a branded partnership, product drop, popular Reel, or an introductory post that explains who you are and what you do.

Depending on your objectives, you can highlight posts that generate a lot of comments, saves, and shares or posts that drive traffic back to your link in your bio.

In other words, you can highlight your best content.

How to Make Use of Instagram’s Grid Pinning Feature

You can quickly pin a published post to the top of your profile once you have access to Instagram’s Grid Pinning feature.
